Young people have highlighted the importance of the topic of digital transformation and digital competences, as it opens up new opportunities for them in the field of entrepreneurship. With the help of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence and online platforms, they can more easily realize their ideas, create their own opportunities, and connect with the labor market more quickly and effectively. Therefore, we, together with our partners, identified this topic as one of the key priorities for project development in 2025. With the project “YOUth Digital Minds: Shaping Tomorrow”, we aim to bring together 35 young participants from different EU countries to learn, collaborate, and develop both individually and collectively, generating high-quality ideas for the future of their peers and society as a whole. The main goal of the project is to equip young people with knowledge and practical skills in the fields of digital competences, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence, while encouraging them to apply this knowledge in developing their own entrepreneurial ideas and creating innovative solutions for the future. The project also aims to guide young people through non-formal education, develop their social, cultural, linguistic, and lifelong learning competences, and support their transition from education to the labor market, preparing them for the challenges ahead. Other objectives of the project include promoting European cooperation in the field of youth, increasing the capacity of partner organizations to operate at EU and international levels, and fostering mobility opportunities for young people. This project is designed directly by our young participants with the support of organizations that have joined forces around a shared idea and a desire to learn. The topic is strongly aligned with the European Youth Goals outlined in the EU Youth Strategy 2019–2027, particularly Goal 7 (Quality Employment for All) and Goal 8 (Quality Learning), as well as the “Next Generation EU” Recovery Plan. A key element of this initiative is the fair digital transition to a digital Europe, supported by the Digital Education Action Plan 2021–2027, which sets out a common vision for digital education in Europe, including training for the digital age. Through this project, we aim to empower young people, providing them with sufficient knowledge and tools to be better prepared for a technological future and the evolving labor market.
