The project "Democracy is like LEGO: You build it yourself" aims to raise the understanding of its participating youngsters regarding democratic processes and the importance of active participation in these processes, whilst enhancing media literacy and critical thinking to navigate the digital landscape , considering the threat that misinformation imposes on democratic discourse. The project's primary objective is to empower young people to become informed and actively engaged citizens. There will be focus on increasing political engagement, strengthening civic education, and developing critical thinking among the participants. Moreover, our project directly addresses the challenges of low youth participation in democratic processes by tackling the root causes of this disengagement. Through a comprehensive approach, young people will be inspired to recognize the importance of their involvement in shaping the democratic future of their local, national, and European communities. At the same time, they will be equipped with practical tools to independently facilitate a workshop, in their local community, through intercultural peer learning and utilizing a variety of methodologies, in order to spread their message and experience active participation in their community.
