The aim of the project “Equal in Diversity” is to support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in overcoming gender stereotypes and to strengthen their ability to confidently assert themselves in society through a youth exchange. In youth work practice, we focus on ensuring that participants: • Gain new knowledge about gender equality, about the history and current roles of men and women in society, and are able to identify at least three common stereotypes present in their community. • Develop skills necessary for their personal and professional lives: presentation skills, teamwork, argumentation, and digital competences in creating outputs. • Shape attitudes towards greater tolerance, respect, and the ability to accept differences – both between genders and among people from different social and cultural backgrounds. • Strengthen their own identity and self-confidence – so they are able to say “I can do it too”, regardless of whether an activity is considered “male” or “female” in their environment. In youth work practice, we will focus on non-formal education, role plays, team activities, and reflections that allow participants to learn through experience. Each participant will also be given the opportunity to prepare and lead a small part of the program, thus fostering their sense of responsibility and active involvement.
