Objectives

The main aim of our project is to support young people in developing a healthier and more conscious relationship with digital technologies and social media. By providing a safe and engaging environment for reflection, discussion, and experiential learning, we aim to empower participants to understand the impact of screen time on their mental, emotional, and social wellbeing. From the perspective of youth work, our objectives are to encourage self-reflection and awareness, helping participants recognize their current digital habits, assess their screen time, and reflect on how online behavior affects their daily life and relationships. We aim to promote emotional resilience and stress management, equipping participants with practical strategies such as digital detox, tech-free zones, and mindful screen use. The project also seeks to foster creativity, leadership, and teamwork, as participants will co-create workshops, posters, and other educational materials that can be shared within their communities. Through intercultural dialogue and peer learning, participants will gain insights from different perspectives, build social connections, and develop skills in critical thinking and media literacy. Finally, the project encourages long-term impact by providing participants with tools and practices they can continue to use after the exchange, such as reflective diaries, leisure-time alternatives to screens, and community workshops, thus promoting sustainable digital wellbeing among youth and broader communities.
