Young people today face numerous challenges, including stress, anxiety, digital addiction and a lack of meaning. Furthermore a key challenge for our youth workers is the difficulty they encounter when trying to build trust, manage conflict, and retain group attention. They currently lack the specific methods required to bridge communication barriers effectively. Our Spanish partner needs to know how to adapt and scale activities for groups with varying ages, cultural backgrounds, and motivations and how to overcome cultural barriers. Vila Flora faces difficulties in how to manage the group's diversity in terms of age, culture, and motivation. This project offers opportunity to youth leaders to learn new methods on how to make learning more engaging, how to foster a sense of connection, inclusion, enhance curiosity and build resilience. A storytelling method was chosen as it combines the traditional principle of narrative with modern facilitation to build empathy, trust and maintain attention. The youth workers will be able to: - define the core terminology of the creative storytelling method and describe its fundamental principles. - implement the learned techniques to create relaxing, safe, and inclusive learning environments during group activities. - explain the strategic value of storytelling as a tool for youth development, contrasting it with simple creative activities. - assess their personal growth and justify their increased confidence to independently facilitate a complete storytelling workshop. - design and develop a complete toolkit of storytelling activities ready for immediate use, utilizing input from their enlarged professional network and enriching each other. Though improved quality of youth work, the partners target audience will feel more engaged and included. Furthermore this project brings together participants from diverse disadvantaged and cultural backgrounds and experiences.
