Objectives

The “ToT Connect, Lead, Facilitate – Emotional Intelligence in Youth Work” project aims to strengthen youth work practice by equipping 24 youth workers from seven European organisations with the competences, confidence, and facilitation skills needed to integrate Emotional Intelligence (EI) and the LifeComp framework into their daily work with young people. Our objectives are to: Develop youth workers’ emotional and social competences (self-regulation, empathy, collaboration) based on LifeComp, enabling them to create emotionally safe and inclusive learning environments. Train participants in facilitation and group dynamics, so they can confidently lead emotionally intelligent activities and manage challenging group situations. Provide hands-on experience through peer-led workshops and a mentored local phase, allowing participants to test and refine their skills in real contexts. Build a sustainable network of youth workers committed to integrating EI practices into youth work and sharing good practices at local, national, and European levels. Strengthen partner organisations’ capacity to offer innovative, well-being-focused youth work that responds to today’s mental health and inclusion challenges. By doing so, the project will directly contribute to improving the quality, relevance, and innovation of youth work, in line with the EU Youth Strategy and the European Youth Work Agenda. It will empower youth workers to better support young people — especially those with fewer opportunities — in developing emotional resilience, interpersonal skills, and active citizenship competences for a more cohesive and inclusive Europe.
