Objectives

Project is aligned with the priorities of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges program for the 2021-2027 period; it aims to strengthen intercultural communication and understanding among young people, enabling individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds to experience collaborative learning together. The project seeks to develop young people’s personal and social skills, with a particular focus on enhancing their communication, cooperation, and critical thinking competencies. Furthermore, it strives to promote and internalize the fundamental values of Europe, combating discrimination, prejudice, and stereotypes to contribute to the formation of an inclusive and tolerant society. The project is directly connected to raising awareness about current social issues such as social responsibility, environmental consciousness, and sustainability, thereby encouraging young people’s active citizenship and societal participation. The primary objective of our project is to cultivate a strong sense of European citizenship among youth aged 18-30 and to encourage social solidarity. Within this scope, it is crucial for young people to gain awareness of pressing environmental issues, particularly forest fires and water scarcity. The project will comprehensively address the impacts of forest fires—including environmental and economic losses, damage to natural habitats, and adverse effects on public health—while emphasizing individual and community-level preventive measures. Likewise, water scarcity will be discussed as a severe crisis driven by global climate change and unsustainable water consumption. Participants will be provided with practical knowledge on conserving and efficiently using water in daily life. Through this approach, young people will not only increase their understanding but also disseminate this knowledge within their communities, thereby contributing to stronger environmental consciousness. Central to our project are 21st-century skills, and we focus on developing young people’s competencies such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, digital literacy, creativity, entrepreneurship, and intercultural awareness. Integrating these skills with environmental themes enables young people not only to comprehend environmental challenges but also to devise creative and effective solutions. The project’s game-based learning methods will support participants in acquiring these skills experientially, enhancing the durability of their learning. By actively utilizing digital tools, young people will engage with technology both as learners and as advocates, equipping themselves to thrive in the era of digital transformation. Project places special emphasis on inclusivity, prioritizing the equal participation of disadvantaged groups—including youth facing socio-economic hardships, disabilities, and migration backgrounds—in line with the principle of inclusiveness. Enabling these youth to engage fully in the project will significantly contribute to their personal development and social integration, while also promoting a fair and equitable model of youth work in society. Appropriate support mechanisms (such as transportation, accessible educational materials, and services for accessibility) will be provided to ensure equal learning opportunities for all participants. One of the key outcomes of our project is to increase young people’s environmental awareness and promote the dissemination of this awareness. Participants will actively take responsibility for spreading the knowledge, experiences, and skills gained during the project within their local environments. They will organize educational and informational activities, utilize social media and digital platforms to share information, thereby enhancing societal environmental consciousness and encouraging the adoption of sustainable lifestyles. Furthermore, the project will foster a sense of social responsibility and community solidarity among young people, motivating them to assume active citizenship roles. European citizenship consciousness forms another fundamental pillar of our project. Young people will be encouraged to embrace shared European values and principles of tolerance, equality, and social justice. By engaging in dialogue with individuals from diverse cultures, they will help break down prejudices and stereotypes. This process will enable youth not only to belong to their own societies but also to become part of a more inclusive, solidarity-based, and peaceful European and global future. In conclusion, our project is a comprehensive youth work initiative that not only contributes to the individual development of young people but also raises their awareness of societal and global responsibilities. By combining themes of environmental consciousness, 21st-century skills, inclusivity, and solidarity, the project aims to empower young people to realize their potential and to make positive contributions to the societies in which they live.
