Objectives

With this project, our goal is to bring together young people from Portugal, Greece, Germany, and Türkiye to initiate an awareness movement focusing on climate change and digital inclusion, while also enabling young people to develop innovative digital content that facilitates climate literacy for individuals with disabilities. Through international workshops to be held in each partner country, participants will focus on different types of disabilities (e.g. visual, hearing, cognitive) and produce accessible digital materials using artificial intelligence tools—such as audiobooks, AI-generated songs, interactive learning materials. Each partner country will lead the content production focusing on a specific type of disability. The common aim of these activities is to enable young people to act with a sense of social responsibility, develop empathy and an understanding of accessibility, and enhance intercultural understanding by collaborating with peers from different cultural backgrounds. Our partner from Germany, a technology company, will guide the participants during the first workshop by providing training on AI tools, digital content production, and accessible design. This will empower young people not only to produce content but also to enhance their technological literacy. Our key objectives from a youth work perspective: Developing empathy and inclusive thinking: Young participants will understand the needs of individuals with disabilities and develop content for social good, thereby nurturing empathy, cooperation, and a sense of responsibility. Strengthening green and digital competencies: The project aligns with Erasmus+ priorities on digital transformation and climate action. Youth participants will be active creators in both fields. Promoting AI literacy: Participants will learn how to use AI tools ethically and creatively, developing an essential awareness and skill set in this growing field. Fostering intercultural collaboration and co-creation: Youth from partner countries will work together to produce shared outputs, promoting a sense of European identity and a culture of cooperation. Through this project, participants will evolve from passive learners to active contributors to society, gaining skills that support their personal, academic, and social development. A comprehensive youth work model aligned with European values will be implemented, supported by cross-border cooperation and inclusive educational practices.
