Creativity, arts and cultureDigital skills and competencesInclusion of marginalised young people

Objectives

We want to implement this project because Circassian communities in both Turkey and Europe face increasing marginalization and lack of cultural representation. Despite being part of society, our traditions, language, and cultural heritage are not sufficiently recognized, and young people have limited opportunities to express their identity and engage in intercultural dialogue. This situation weakens their sense of belonging and negatively impacts their social integration. With this project, we aim to make Caucasian culture more visible through dance, music, crafts, and cuisine, while providing young people with opportunities to express themselves, explore cultural diversity, challenge stereotypes, and foster inclusion through digital storytelling. Through this project, we specifically aim to: Enhance participants’ competences in cultural diversity, social inclusion, and youth empowerment by offering interactive activities that allow them to experience the cultural heritage of Caucasian and partner countries, Raise awareness of the challenges faced by Caucasian and other cultural groups, promote intercultural dialogue, reduce prejudice, and strengthen inclusion through digital storytelling and short video production, Increase participants’ awareness of environmental sustainability and encourage them to adopt eco-friendly behaviors in daily life, Improve young people’s technical and creative skills in digital storytelling, short video production, scriptwriting, and filming while also strengthening their communication and intercultural competences, Provide participants with knowledge about Erasmus+ opportunities and support their active involvement in international cooperation. In this way, the project will not only contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage but also support young people’s digital, social, and environmental competences, strengthen intercultural understanding, and foster the development of inclusive societies across Europe.
