Objectives

The main objective of this project is to ensure that young people, within the framework of digital transformation, correctly understand the opportunities and risks brought by the digital age and take an active role in their own lives, communities, and future careers. Today’s youth grow up with the vast opportunities offered by rapid digital transformation, while at the same time facing risks such as digital addiction, passive consumption habits, and cultural disconnection. The project aims to guide young people away from these risks and help them become productive, conscious individuals capable of building intercultural connections. From a youth work perspective, our project is built on four main goals: supporting the individual development of participants, enhancing intercultural learning experiences, fostering active citizenship skills that can create social impact, and enabling young people to move beyond digital addiction and adopt a productive role. Firstly, in terms of individual development, it is planned that young people will acquire current and future-oriented digital skills such as artificial intelligence literacy, prompt engineering, 3D modeling, and digital storytelling. In this way, they will not only be consumers of technology but also actors who produce, transform, and give meaning to it. Secondly, intercultural learning lies at the center of the project. Young people from different social, cultural, and economic backgrounds will come together to both present their own cultures and learn from others. This process will allow participants to develop empathy toward cultural diversity, question prejudices, and view differences as a source of richness. In particular, virtual museum studies and digital storytelling activities will enable young people to express their cultural heritage in creative ways and share it with others. Thus, intercultural bridges will be built, creating lasting connections among European youth. Our third goal is to strengthen young people’s awareness of active citizenship. Within the project, they will take on not only the role of learners but also of producers and educators. Peer learning methods during and after the exchange will allow participants to learn from one another and share knowledge. In addition, after the project, participants will organize presentations, workshops, and mini-exhibitions in their communities to disseminate what they have learned, thereby creating impact not only at the individual level but also at the societal level. These activities will turn young people into “Youth Ambassadors of Digital Transformation,” helping them strengthen their leadership skills in their cities, schools, and social environments. Our fourth goal is to reduce young people’s digital addictions and develop production-oriented digital awareness. They will learn to use digital tools not only for social media consumption but also for producing cultural content, engaging in virtual museum experiences, and developing innovative projects. This approach will increase their self-confidence, improve their problem-solving and creative thinking skills, and make them more equipped for the future labor market. In addition, the project is directly related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. By maintaining a balanced number of male and female participants, it supports Gender Equality (Goal 5). The inclusion of participants from different socio-economic backgrounds contributes to Equal Opportunities and supports the principle of Reducing Inequalities (Goal 10). Furthermore, partnerships established with institutions from different countries strengthen international solidarity and align with the framework of Partnerships for the Goals (Goal 17). From a youth work perspective, this project is not only a learning process but also a developmental journey. Throughout the project, participants will recognize their potential through the responsibilities they take on, the content they produce, and the collaborations they lead. They will develop a broad vision extending from personal goals to social benefit. Moreover, the students and young leaders guiding the project will acquire skills such as coordination, group management, and mentoring, taking an important step toward becoming the leaders of the future. In conclusion, through this project, our main goal is to ensure that young people become more participatory, more productive, and more conscious individuals by strengthening both digitally and culturally. Our aim is for them to transform the gains they acquire from these experiences into benefits not only for themselves but also for their communities, countries, and European youth. Thus, the project will directly serve the core principles of youth work — inclusion, active participation, intercultural learning, and lifelong learning — and will transform participants into the digital and cultural bridge-builders of the future.
