Objectives

This project aims to bring together young people from diverse backgrounds to reflect, discuss, and raise awareness on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through non-formal education methods, intercultural dialogue, and active participation, participants will explore the direct links between global challenges—such as climate change, social inequalities, responsible consumption and production, peace, and justice—and their daily lives, while also gaining the ability to transform this knowledge into concrete social actions. The activities will take place at Sakarya University campus, where the “Green Campus” and “Zero Waste” practices will allow participants to experience environmentally friendly behaviors as part of daily life. Through workshops, simulations, forum theatre, intercultural evenings, sports activities, and group projects, they will develop critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and digital literacy skills. By producing outputs such as digital magazines, short films, posters, digital stories, and vlogs, participants will ensure the project reaches wider audiences both locally and across Europe. Partner organisations have been selected through the SALTO-Youth and Eurodesk networks, bringing expertise in sustainability, youth work, cultural cooperation, and active citizenship. Regular online meetings, joint planning, and transparent communication integrate each organisation’s strengths into the process, while local authorities, municipalities, youth centers, and civil society organisations are also engaged to enhance dissemination activities. The project’s results will remain visible and accessible beyond its implementation. Dissemination will be carried out through the websites and social media channels of the university and partner organisations, as well as via the Eurodesk network and the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform. Moreover, activities such as exhibitions, workshops, and presentations will be organised during events like Erasmus Days and youth festivals to reach new audiences. Participants will also share their experiences within their local communities, ensuring lasting impact, while Youthpass certificates will highlight their learning achievements and support their academic and professional development. This comprehensive approach raises young people’s awareness of the SDGs, strengthens their active citizenship skills, and provides a platform for their tangible contributions towards building a fairer, greener, and more sustainable Europe.
