We want to carry out this project to raise awareness among young people about global climate change and sustainable use of water resources, to help them develop environmentally friendly habits and to encourage youth initiatives that produce concrete solutions in this regard. We aim to make young people more sensitive, solution-oriented and active citizens towards environmental problems by discussing the effects of the water crisis. We aim to increase young people's skills in developing common solutions to global problems by collaborating with their peers from different cultures. With the awareness that cultural diversity is a richness, we aim to support young people's participation in intercultural learning processes, strengthen the spirit of solidarity and encourage social inclusion. Since this project will be carried out within the scope of Erasmus+ Youth Exchange, it will enable young people to acquire new skills, contribute to their personal and social development and develop active citizenship awareness within the framework of European values. From a youth exchange practice perspective, we aim to achieve the following goals: => Raising Awareness of Environmental Awareness and Sustainability => Ensuring that young people understand the impact of global climate change and the water crisis, => Increasing young people’s awareness of water conservation and sustainable resource management, => Helping young people develop concrete proposals on how to reduce their ecological footprint. => Facilitating the participation of young people with fewer opportunities in youth exchange projects, => Supporting young people from disadvantaged groups to make their voices heard and create change in their own communities. => Encouraging young people to work together with their peers from different countries, => Increasing mutual understanding and tolerance through intercultural learning processes, => Developing solutions to common environmental problems at an international level. => To develop young people's critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills, => To document the knowledge and experiences gained during the project with the Youthpass certificate and help young people gain an advantage in their future careers, => To encourage young people to develop sustainable environmental projects by supporting their entrepreneurial skills. => To share the results of the project with decision makers at local, national and European levels, => To present the solution proposals developed by young people regarding the water crisis to the public by compiling a report, => To ensure that young people are informed about Erasmus+ and European opportunities and encourage them to participate in future projects. In line with these goals, we aim to ensure that young people are empowered both individually and socially throughout the project, become more sensitive individuals regarding environmental issues and produce common solutions in international cooperation. In line with these goals, young people will develop a deep awareness on environmental sustainability issues and concrete behavioral changes will be observed regarding the protection of water resources. Young people will contribute to increasing social awareness by making water saving, recycling and environmentally friendly living practices a part of their daily lives. This will pave the way for more effective environmental policies to be created at regional and national levels by increasing sensitivity to environmental issues in local communities. The realization of the project’s goals of strengthening intercultural interaction and international cooperation will allow young people to establish dialogue with their peers from different cultures and produce innovative solutions to common problems. This process will support the development of young people’s critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills. Young people will become leaders in future projects as active citizens. Thanks to the dissemination of project outputs and the knowledge gained, solutions developed for global problems such as water crisis and climate change will reach a wide audience and will be adopted by public institutions, NGOs and local governments and transformed into concrete practices. The reports, educational materials and policy recommendations prepared by young people will constitute an important resource in terms of increasing environmentally friendly practices and supporting sustainable development. In a sustainable manner, it will ensure that young people remain active after the project and disseminate the experiences they gain in their own communities. Thanks to the network to be created, young people will stay in touch with each other, develop new projects and create a lasting impact in society. This will both support individual development and contribute to social transformation, ensuring the spread of environmental awareness and active citizenship.
