Objectives

Theisation of a more inclusive, democratic, and quality-driven youth-work domain requires youth workers to be rendered with competencies, tools, and confidence. Through a structured streamline of Professional Development Activities, System Development and Outreach Activities, and follow-ups, the young worker is provided with a pathway to developing themselves professionally, transferring their knowledge to their respective organisation, and take on a role in the long-term development of the youth work sector in Europe. Hence, from the perspective of daily youth work practice, the project pursues the following objectives: -Building the competences of youth workers in inclusive facilitation, conflict transformation, and participatory leadership, by introducing concepts of Deep Democracy and CoResolve methods as tools to work constructively with diversity, disagreement, and group dynamics. -Nurturing peer learning and professionalisation among youth workers through the creation of a Transnational Peer Academy where PDA alumni and their colleagues may continue practising, mentoring, and co-developing solutions for challenges faced at local levels. -Embedding innovation into youth work by creating and sharing concrete resources — such as a Toolkit on Deep Democracy in Youth Work, peer learning reports, and case studies — for organisations to draw on in their own practice far beyond the end of this project. -Enhance youth work recognition by holding Open Forums in each partner country where youth workers demonstrate facilitation competences in genuine community dialogues, thus promoting youth work as an appropriately professional and impactful undertaking. -Anchor Erasmus+ priorities of inclusion and diversity, digital transformation, sustainability, and democratic participation into youth work. This entails providing strengthened support for youth workers with fewer opportunities, working with blended learning tools, the implementation of green best practices, and a direct pathway to the European Youth Work Agenda. Through the implementation of the project, youth workers will be guaranteed to receive training while developing the capacity to systematically apply their learning within their organizations so as to inspire their peers for the inclusion and participation of young people at a much deeper level, alongside local and European stakeholders. In the process, the project contributes concretely to quality, innovation, and recognition of youth work and provides young people with spaces where their voices are heard, their needs are met, and their contributions are highly valued.
