Our project aims to strengthen the capacity of youth workers, enhance the quality of youth work, and provide young people with more effective learning opportunities. 1. Capacity Development of Youth Workers To improve youth workers’ competences in data literacy, critical thinking, digital skills, and combating misinformation. To ensure that participants can integrate what they have learned into their daily youth work practices. 2. Creating a Multiplier Effect To make knowledge transfer sustainable by enabling youth workers to share what they have learned with young people. In this way, young people will build resilience against disinformation and strengthen their data-driven decision-making skills. 3. Strengthening the European Dimension To enable youth workers from different countries to jointly address common gaps and challenges. To contribute to the development of more inclusive and innovative youth work practices across Europe through intercultural dialogue and exchange of experiences. 4. Producing Sustainable Outputs To develop open-source modules, digital toolkits, and facilitator guidelines that will remain usable even after the project ends. Inspired by the example established under the mentorship of Dr. Selin Özen at Ankara University, the project will also encourage the creation of Data Science Communities in partner countries, supported through online follow-ups and training consultancy. 5. Contribution to the Quality of Youth Work To enrich participants’ learning experience by applying non-formal education methods such as workshops, simulations, and interactive group work. To improve not only the professional development of participants but also the quality of youth work delivered to young people in their local contexts. Expected Result By the end of the project, 36 youth workers from 8 different countries will have strengthened their competences in data literacy and digital skills. Through the multiplier effect, these competences will reach hundreds of young people, empowering them to become informed, active, and democratic citizens who contribute to society.
