Objectives

This project aims to strengthen intercultural dialogue, create an inclusive learning environment, and contribute to the European identity by bringing together young people from different countries to share their cultural music and dance heritage. Through rhythm- and dance-based workshops, young people will not only gain cultural awareness but also develop creativity, self-expression, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork – all key competences in the field of youth work (Erasmus+ Youth Quality Standards, Section 3.1). From the perspective of youth work practice, this project encourages young people’s active participation, ensures their access to learning through inclusive methods, and helps them connect with cultural heritage. The project will provide young people not only with opportunities to perform on stage but also to engage in social responsibility activities (for example in village schools, orphanages, and nursing homes), thus supporting their integration into the wider community (Inclusion and Diversity Strategy, Section 2). In addition, youth workers will gain the chance to experiment with new non-formal learning methods during the project and transfer these methods into their daily youth work practices in their home countries. This is fully aligned with the European Training Strategy’s approach to “participant-centred and innovative learning experiences” (European Training Strategy, ETS, Section 1.2). In summary, the objectives of the project are: To enable young people to internalise the values of cultural diversity and European identity, To develop key youth work competences such as communication, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving, To provide youth workers with new non-formal pedagogical tools and ensure their transfer into national contexts, To strengthen community engagement through interaction with local groups (schools, care homes, orphanages), To ensure long-term accessibility and visibility of learning outcomes through digital archives and sustainable practices. This approach is directly in line with the priorities of the Erasmus+ Youth Quality Standards, the European Youth Strategy, and the Inclusion and Diversity Strategy, and aims to create a sustainable impact in the field of youth work in the long term.
