With the Cyber Sages project, we aim to empower youth workers to address the key challenges they face in the digital world. Today, young people are increasingly exposed to risks such as misinformation, fake news, hate speech, cyberbullying, and data security issues. Youth workers stand at the frontline in tackling these problems, yet often lack sufficient tools and methodologies. This project brings together 8 partner organisations from Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, North Macedonia, Georgia, and Moldova. In total, around 34 youth workers will take part: 4 participants from each partner country and 6 from Turkey as the coordinating organisation. The group includes professionals working in youth centres, NGO representatives, youth leaders from disadvantaged areas, and youth workers specialised in inclusion. Our objectives are: To strengthen youth workers’ digital literacy skills and enable them to identify misinformation and transfer this knowledge effectively to young people. To provide concrete tools and methods on cyberbullying, identity theft, and data security. To equip youth workers with non-formal learning methodologies (role plays, simulations, creative workshops) to enhance their effectiveness and inclusivity in working with young people. To foster dissemination activities in each partner country, encouraging youth workers to share knowledge with their colleagues and local communities. From the perspective of youth work practice, Cyber Sages aims to create a platform where active youth workers can learn and apply new methods, build the capacity of their organisations, and establish sustainable cooperation at the European level.
