Objectives

Through the implementation of this project, we aim to strengthen the professional capacity of youth workers to foster healthy digital habits and digital self-regulation skills among young people. Our local field studies have shown that the lack of competence among youth workers in this area is the primary obstacle to building an effective bridge with young people in the digital world. From the perspective of youth work practice, our project objectives are as follows: To enable 18 youth workers to master at least 5 new non-formal education methodologies (such as psychodrama, digital identity mapping, micro-workshop design, etc.) focused on digital stress management, digital minimalism, and developing self-awareness. To ensure that participants put these learned methodologies into practice by organizing at least one "Digital Balance Workshop" each within their own institutions within 2 months after the project, thereby guaranteeing direct reach to at least 50 young people. To create a "Digital Self-Regulation Toolbox" ensuring that these innovative methodologies become accessible and applicable for other youth workers and organizations at both local and European levels. These objectives will be achieved through a 5-day training course for 18 youth workers from Turkey, Italy, and Greece, based on practical workshops, a field visit, and peer learning. The ultimate goal is to contribute sustainably to the digital well-being of young people and the dissemination of healthy digital habits through more competent youth workers.
