Objectives

The project aims to strengthen the professional capacities of youth workers by providing them with opportunities to observe and learn innovative methods, tools, and approaches in youth work. Through work-based observation activities in Serbia and Turkey, participants will gain practical knowledge and skills that can be applied directly in their daily youth work practices. In Serbia, participants will engage with professional photo, video, short film, and documentary production processes. They will observe students and practitioners at the International Student Film Camp Interakcija, experiencing first-hand the workflow of creative production, from concept development and scriptwriting to filming and editing. This direct observation and practical engagement will enable youth workers to develop new approaches to creative projects, improve storytelling and visual communication techniques, and gain confidence in guiding young people through media-based activities. In Turkey, the project focuses on integrating digital tools and interactive methods into youth activities. Participants will learn to use digital platforms and applications such as Canva, Power BI, Kahoot, Mentimeter, Padlet, Miro, Genially, and Prezi to enhance engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes in youth programs. They will observe and practice effective presentation techniques, group facilitation, and interactive learning strategies to improve attention, participation, and overall quality of youth activities. These experiences will enable youth workers to design more innovative, inclusive, and engaging programs that directly respond to the needs and interests of young people. Through these work-based learning experiences, participants will enhance their understanding of both local and international youth work practices. They will develop skills in communication, interaction, and active participation, ensuring that they can effectively engage young people from diverse backgrounds. The project will also strengthen attitudes related to inclusion, equality, and diversity, increasing awareness of the importance of working with disadvantaged groups, promoting gender equality, and combating discrimination. Participants will reflect on their own strengths and areas for development, supporting long-term professional growth and lifelong learning. By applying the acquired knowledge, skills, and attitudes in their organizations, youth workers will improve the quality, innovation, and recognition of youth programs. They will foster more inclusive, creative, and sustainable youth work practices, enhancing engagement and participation among young people. The project will also promote international cooperation and exchange of experiences, allowing participants to adapt culturally sensitive methods observed in Serbia to their own contexts. Ultimately, this project will enable youth workers to create meaningful and lasting impact in their institutions, enhancing the professionalization of youth work and strengthening the overall youth work ecosystem.
