With the CreaThink project, our main goal is to ensure that young people participate in learning processes in a more engaged, active, and motivated way in today’s rapidly changing digital world. The classical, outdated methods still used in most educational institutions today are insufficient to attract the interest of young people who grow up immersed in digital culture. Our aim is to modernize these methods from the perspective of youth work, to incorporate tools such as games, films, and digital storytelling that young people are already interested in, and to develop a brand-new methodology. Our project does not only aim for young people to acquire knowledge, but also to experience a learning process in which they can connect with their own lives, actively participate, and produce. For this reason, we want to offer young people a learning model that is both engaging and meaningful through tools such as gamification, interactive film narratives, digital storytelling, and even virtual reality. In this way, young people will not only focus better during lessons, but will also gain vital skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork. One of our most important objectives from the perspective of youth work is to build a bridge between education and young people’s daily life practices. Today’s youth spend a large part of their day with digital devices and content. By integrating these tools into the learning process, we want to ensure that young people see school not merely as an obligation, but as a place where they can learn while having fun and where they actually want to go. With CreaThink, school will also become an “experience space.” Another important objective of the project is to support intercultural learning and the development of common values. Participants will work together with young people from different countries, compare the educational systems in their own countries, become familiar with different pedagogical approaches, and develop creative solutions to the common needs of young people. This process will provide significant gains not only in the field of education but also in terms of social cohesion, empathy, and intercultural communication skills. CreaThink also aims to reverse the loss of interest that emerged in the post-COVID-19 period. During the pandemic, young people who were kept away from face-to-face education spent more time with digital tools and content, while distancing themselves from school. With this project, we want to make school attractive again and transform it into a modern part of the digital world. Education should not be a boring obligation but rather an engaging, enjoyable, and creative space for young people.
