Objectives

This project aims to strengthen the professional capacities of trainers and youth leaders working with young people, enhancing their competences in sustainability, environmental awareness, and innovative educational methods. The main objective is to enable these leaders, who guide young people, to take on a more effective, inclusive, and inspiring role, thereby creating a lasting quality transformation in the field of youth work. Our Main Objectives: Capacity Building for Trainers and Youth Leaders: Participants will improve their pedagogical skills, group management, facilitation, and non-formal learning methods. In this way, more creative, participatory, and effective methods will be implemented in youth work practices. Environmental Awareness and Sustainability Education: Trainers will gain knowledge and experience on carbon footprint reduction, biodiversity conservation, and nature-based learning methods. They will also acquire the ability to design and implement environmentally focused projects with young people. Strengthening Leadership and Responsibility-Taking Skills: The training aims to develop leadership, decision-making, crisis and risk management skills both individually and at group level. This will contribute to creating safe, inclusive, and motivating environments in youth work. Effective Use of Non-Formal Learning Methods: Drama, role-playing, teamwork, nature observations, nature photography, outdoor workshops, problem-solving games, creative thinking exercises, and intercultural dialogue activities will be used. These methods will enable trainers to provide high-quality learning experiences that address different learning styles. Intercultural Learning and European Dimension: Through the contributions of partners from different countries, trainers will develop intercultural communication skills and adapt good practices from Europe into their own work. This will strengthen the culture of international cooperation in youth work. Tangible Contribution to Youth Work: At the end of the training process, tools such as modules, methodological guidelines, and educational materials will be produced and made available to youth workers both locally and internationally. This will ensure the project’s impact is long-term. Contributions from the Perspective of Youth Work Practice: Trainers will demonstrate more conscious, planned, and sustainability-oriented approaches in their daily work with young people. Participants will become more confident in applying non-formal learning methods and will be able to design activities that increase young people’s motivation. Management of group dynamics, the participation of young people in decision-making processes, and the application of inclusive methods will enhance the quality and efficiency of youth work. Through transnational cooperation, different cultural approaches will be combined, enabling youth leaders to develop innovative perspectives with a European dimension in their own work. Expected Result: At the end of the project, trainers and youth leaders will become more competent, innovative, and motivated in the fields of environmental sustainability and youth work. This will contribute to young people participating in more qualitative learning processes, increasing their environmental awareness, and strengthening their roles as active citizens in society.
