While outdoor-based learning is a highly effective approach for empowering young people, many youth workers lack familiarity with it and do not possess the necessary skills to integrate such activities into their work. The project ‘Nature Unites Us is designed to bridge this gap by introducing outdoor-based learning to a wider network of youth workers and encouraging its application in engaging young people facing social exclusion. Key Objectives of the Project Enhance youth workers’ understanding of outdoor learning methods and techniques, enabling them to support the personal and professional growth of young people who face social exclusion, mental health challenges, and developmental obstacles. Provide hands-on experience with various outdoor learning techniques, allowing youth workers to reflect on their effectiveness and explore ways to integrate these methods into their programs and activities targeting young people. Facilitate the exchange of practices between participating countries, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the application of outdoor-based learning in youth work. Encourage the development of new initiatives and projects that promote social inclusion and create safe spaces for young people to learn, grow, and engage in their communities. Expand the reach of outdoor-based learning beyond the project consortium by sharing practical instructional videos featuring at least seven outdoor-based activities, offering a useful resource for youth workers worldwide. By equipping youth workers with the skills and confidence to implement outdoor-based learning, this project aims toempower young people, foster inclusion, and inspire sustainable, community-driven youth work practices.
