Objectives

The project aims to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to work more effectively and inclusively with young people from diverse backgrounds. Many youth workers face challenges when engaging with disadvantaged groups such as young people with disabilities, migrants, those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, or those affected by gender inequalities. Through this project, we want to equip them with practical tools, non-formal methods, and intercultural competences that will help them to respond to these challenges with confidence and empathy. Our main objectives are to improve youth workers’ skills in inclusive communication, empathy, conflict management, and project design; to increase their ability to create safe and supportive environments for all young people; and to strengthen the institutional capacities of their organisations. By combining workshops, simulations, digital tools, and local field visits, the project offers youth workers both practical experience and theoretical knowledge that they can directly apply in their daily practice. In the long term, the project seeks to promote more inclusive and sustainable youth work across Europe, by ensuring that the lessons learned and the outcomes—such as the digital booklet and “Journey Stories”—are shared widely and inspire other organisations. This way, the project contributes to the European values of inclusion, diversity, active citizenship, and intercultural dialogue, while also empowering youth workers to be active changemakers in their communities.
