Our project aims to empower young people as key actors in building smart, green, and sustainable cities. Rapid urbanisation and traditional waste management cause land use pressures, emissions, and pollution, while young people, despite high awareness, remain underrepresented in decision-making. Our project seeks to raise awareness on zero waste, carbon footprint reduction, and digital tools such as WebGIS; strengthen democratic participation; and foster digital competences to design innovative solutions like waste-tracking applications. Through activities in Ankara, Vienna, and Istanbul, participants will observe best practices, co-develop digital prototypes, and draft a Youth Policy Paper. It contributes to Erasmus+ priorities of digital transformation, environment and climate action, and democratic participation.
