Objectives

The project aims to empower young people from diverse backgrounds to actively engage in intercultural dialogue, challenge discrimination, and strengthen social cohesion through non-formal youth work practices. By bringing together young people with different cultural, social, and economic experiences, the project seeks to create safe learning spaces where diversity is explored as a shared value rather than a source of division. From a youth work perspective, the main objective is to strengthen participants’ competences in communication, empathy, critical thinking, and active participation. Through experiential learning, reflection, and peer-to-peer exchange, young people will develop the ability to recognise stereotypes, understand different perspectives, and respond constructively to discrimination in their daily lives. The project also aims to support the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities by providing accessible learning methods, reinforced mentoring, and supportive group dynamics. By actively involving participants in facilitation, reflection, and follow-up activities, the project encourages ownership, self-confidence, and long-term engagement in their local communities. At organisational level, the project aims to strengthen cooperation between youth organisations, improve the quality of inclusive non-formal education practices, and enhance the capacity of youth workers to design and implement intercultural youth exchanges aligned with Erasmus+ Youth Quality Standards. Ultimately, the project seeks to contribute to more inclusive youth work practices and to empower young people as active actors of positive social change at local and European level.
