The project aims to empower young people from Denmark and Austria to participate in democratic life at a regional, national and European level. By combining non-formal learning, intercultural exchange and dialogue with decision-makers, the project strengthens participants’ understanding of democracy, institutions and decision-making processes. Through a youth-led and participatory approach, participants develop key competences such as critical thinking, communication and civic engagement. The project supports young people in gaining confidence to express their views, engage with political actors and take responsibility as European citizens. At an organisational level, the project contributes to capacity building and quality improvement by strengthening cooperation between youth organisations. Overall, the project promotes European identity, democratic values and youth participation, while encouraging long-term engagement in European and civic initiatives beyond the project’s duration.
