For us, the Créative Bridges project is a real opportunity. It’s a chance for young people from working-class neighborhoods in Belgium, France, and Morocco to discover themselves, express themselves, and grow. It’s not just about making art to “look nice” or pass the time — the goal is to help us find our own paths, showcase our talents, and contribute to our communities. It’s about having a real impact on society by practicing what we do best: art in all its forms. From a youth work perspective, the project has several objectives: Access to culture and education: Créative Bridges allows us to take part in cultural and educational activities that we wouldn’t necessarily have access to in our daily lives, especially for young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods. Through workshops, exchanges, and collective projects, we get the chance to experiment, take initiative, and find our place within a group. Development of artistic and creative skills: We’ll explore painting, poetry, music, writing, and other creative techniques to produce works that reflect our experiences and personalities. Making art in this way helps us build self-confidence and gain recognition from others. Strengthening social and intercultural skills: Working with young people from Belgium, France, and Morocco teaches us how to collaborate, listen, and respect differences. The workshops become spaces for dialogue and reflection, where we can challenge stereotypes and develop a lasting sense of open-mindedness. Encouraging initiative and active citizenship: We’ll be supported in creating and carrying out collective projects — such as exhibitions, performances, or workshops in our neighborhoods. This helps us understand the real impact of our actions, take on responsibilities, and remain engaged even after the project ends. In short, Créative Bridges is a true catalyst for youth development. It combines artistic learning, professional opportunities, social engagement, and intercultural exchange — giving every participant the tools to become a confident, creative, and committed actor in their community and in society as a whole.
