The project DIGITAL BRIDGES (B.R.I.D.G.E.S. – Building Responsible, Inclusive, Digital, Green, Empowered Societies) aims to sustainably transform youth work practices within the partner organisations. We respond to a clear need: youth workers are facing rapid digitalisation, the rise of artificial intelligence, misinformation, and digital inequalities, yet they often lack structured training and practical tools to address these challenges effectively. At the same time, they work with young people — especially those with fewer opportunities — who are directly affected by these digital and social transformations. Our project seeks to strengthen youth workers’ capacity to guide young people towards responsible, inclusive and critical participation in the digital society. Overall Objective To modernise and improve the quality of youth work by strengthening digital, pedagogical and ethical competences that are directly applicable in non-formal education practice. Specific Objectives (practice-oriented and measurable) The project will enable at least 22 youth workers to: • strengthen their competences in the pedagogical use of digital tools and artificial intelligence; • integrate at least two new responsible digital activities into their regular youth programmes; • design inclusive activities adapted to young people with fewer opportunities (accessibility, digital inclusion, reduced digital divide); • enhance their capacity to promote digital citizenship (cybersecurity, data protection, combating misinformation, ethical use of AI); • incorporate sustainable practices and digital sobriety into their educational work; • co-create a European digital toolkit and national action plans to ensure long-term use beyond the mobility; • strengthen European cooperation and professional recognition through Youthpass. By the end of the project, participants will be able to design, facilitate and disseminate innovative, inclusive and responsible digital youth activities, improving the quality, relevance and attractiveness of youth work in their organisations. The project is not limited to a 5-day mobility; it represents a structured capacity-building process that contributes to long-term transformation of youth work practices and supports the development of responsible, inclusive and digitally empowered European societies.
