Objectives

The project aims to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to address mental well-being in their daily practice through practical, accessible and preventive approaches. From a youth work perspective, the project seeks to move beyond fragmented or overly clinical responses by equipping youth workers with concrete tools that can be used directly in non-formal education settings. More specifically, the project aims to: strengthen youth workers’ practical competences in conscious breathing, emotional regulation and facilitation of safe spaces for young people; enable youth workers to integrate well-being practices into their regular activities with diverse groups of young people, including those with fewer opportunities; improve youth workers’ ability to respond to stress, anxiety and emotional overload in a way that is inclusive, culturally sensitive and adapted to local realities; support youth workers’ own well-being, recognising their role as frontline professionals and reducing the risk of burnout; encourage peer learning and the exchange of practices between organisations in Belgium, Armenia and Türkiye, contributing to the quality and sustainability of youth work. By focusing on practical application, peer learning and non-formal education methods, the project aims to improve the quality of youth work practice and strengthen the everyday support offered to young people across the partner countries.
