Boslabs All Aboard! is a two-year youth participation project for young people aged 13–30 that strengthens active citizenship through non-formal learning, peer leadership, and inclusive youth participation. The project builds on the existing Boslabs studio in Antwerp, a low-threshold and safe space where young people meet, express themselves creatively, and co-create activities. It targets both volunteers and facilitators – to develop their leadership and civic competences – and vulnerable or disadvantaged youth, including newcomers, enabling them to have a voice, experience ownership, and foster social cohesion. By combining mentoring, reflection, and participatory methods, the project aims to embed structural youth participation, increase young people’s engagement in local policy and community life, and contribute to an inclusive, democratic, and connected urban environment.
