In 2026, the digital landscape is defined by the "Synthetic Reality" of generative AI, deepfakes, and hyper-polarized algorithms. In the Balkan-Mediterranean corridor (BG, RO, TR, RS), these technologies often exacerbate social divisions, leaving young people—particularly those from marginalized backgrounds—vulnerable to disinformation and exclusion. "From Clicks to Changemakers 2.0" is an 8-day Youth Exchange in Burgas, Bulgaria, that scales up our previous success to move youth from being passive consumers to active "Digital Architects" of their communities. Objectives from a Youth Work Perspective Our project utilizes Non-Formal Education (NFE) to achieve four strategic objectives: -Algorithmic Agency: Equipping 36 young people with advanced technical literacy (SIFT verification, AI ethics, and deepfake detection) to navigate a 2026 digital environment safely. -Inclusive Design: Empowering 16 participants with fewer opportunities (50% quota) to act as designers of "Digital Neighborhoods," ensuring digital spaces are accessible and representative of diverse lived experiences. -Digital Upstanding: Transforming "Passive Bystanders" into "Active Upstanders" by training youth in Non-Violent Communication (NVC) and counter-narrative strategies to de-escalate online toxicity. -Sustainable Practice: Creating a "Digital Safety Toolkit" (OER) consisting of reels, podcasts, and infographics that serve as a permanent resource for youth workers across the European network. Activities & Impact Through simulations, an advocacy hackathon, and peer-led workshops, participants will bridge the "Digital Agency Gap." We expect a significant increase in Social, Civic, and Digital Competences (validated by Youthpass). The project’s legacy is secured through an active Balkan-Turkish Alumni Network and mandatory local multiplier workshops, ensuring that the 8-day mobility in Burgas creates a long-term ripple effect of digital resilience and European cooperation across all four partner countries.
