Objectives

The project aims to inspire and prepare young people to become active citizens who use their knowledge and skills for sustainable environmental initiatives. Through informal methods, fieldwork, and digital technologies, participants will develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and an innovative approach to environmental issues. The focus of the project is on creating real skills (through practical activities) that can be applied directly, rather than just raising awareness. Young people will be encouraged to explore problems, experiment with solutions, and develop their own initiatives. Main objectives of the project: - To develop environmental awareness and conscious responsibility towards the environment: - To give young people an understanding of the relationship between human activity and the state of the environment. - To encourage them to think long-term and sustainably by seeing the direct impact of their habits on nature. - To introduce them to real-life examples of successful environmental projects and motivate them to apply good practices in their own lives. - Developing practical skills for environmental monitoring and analysis: - To teach participants how to test water quality using basic digital and laboratory tools. - Show how environmental analysis can be performed using mobile applications and online platforms. - Engage them in environmental mapping workshops where they can track changes in the environment. - Improve young people's digital skills: - Introduce participants to the use of digital technologies for tracking and analyzing environmental issues - GIS software. - Demonstrate how digital tools can be used to visualize data and create infographics, as well as video materials and presentations - Canva, PowerPoint, CapCut. - Encourage the use of media and social platforms to promote sustainable practices and campaigns. - Develop social and communication skills: - Help participants develop better public speaking and presentation skills so they can promote environmental causes. - Encourage them to participate in debates and discussions where they can defend different points of view and argue their positions. - Strengthen their teamwork and conflict resolution skills by placing them in real-life situations that require joint decisions. - Encourage youth participation in local environmental initiatives: - Inspire young people to join existing environmental projects or start their own. - Establish links between participants and local institutions that can support their initiatives. - Show how young people can advocate for policy change at the local level by participating in public discussions and meetings with municipal representatives. - Building personal responsibility and active citizenship: - Encourage participants to see themselves as agents of change who have a specific role to play in creating a sustainable future. - Develop their initiative and leadership skills so that they can lead environmental projects and campaigns in their communities. - Build their long-term commitment to environmental causes, which will continue after the end of the project. - Forming a sustainable international network of committed young people: - Create a space for international exchange of good practices and experience, which will encourage long-term partnerships between participants. - Provide digital tools through which participants can stay in touch and exchange information about future initiatives. - Encourage young people to use social media to disseminate information about ecology and sustainable development and, at the same time, promote various eco-initiatives. Effectiveness of the project in youth work: The project is based on practical learning, experimentation, and active participation, which is key to the development of young people. Through methods such as role-playing, teamwork, field research, and digital mapping, participants will not only learn new information but also acquire skills that they can apply in real-life situations. In addition, the project creates opportunities for long-term partnerships and engagement by connecting young people with local institutions, environmental organizations, and youth networks. This will enable participants to continue applying what they have learned after the exchange, ensuring the sustainability of the impact. This project will prepare young people to be more informed, more engaged, and more capable of contributing to the sustainable development of their communities. By combining ecology, digital technologies, and youth participation, it will give participants concrete skills and the confidence to be leaders of change. The project will have a lasting impact, as participants will not only gain knowledge but also develop motivation and competencies for action.
