Objectives

The main objective of the project is to contribute to a significant improvement in the quality and effectiveness of youth work by building key competences in the field of sustainable development, ecological innovation, and practices related to the "green" transition. The project responds to the growing challenges faced by youth workers and young people—climate change, environmental crises, and the need to integrate sustainable approaches into everyday practice. From a youth work perspective, the project has the following objectives: - Building the capacity of youth workers to integrate sustainable and environmentally responsible practices into their daily work. This includes skills for developing and implementing eco-innovations that can be used in working with young people. - Raising awareness and engagement on climate change and sustainable development issues. Youth workers will be trained on how to translate abstract environmental challenges into concrete educational activities and campaigns that inspire young people to change. - Creating an international community of "green youth leaders" through the exchange of good practices, experiences, and methods between participants from different countries. This will encourage intercultural dialogue and build a network of like-minded people ready to work together for a more sustainable future. - Integrating innovation into youth work by using creative methods, digital tools, and approaches inspired by environmental and social innovation. The goal is to create programs and initiatives that are modern, attractive, and sustainable. - Securing long-term resources for youth work. The project will develop training materials, methodological guidelines, and practical tools that will remain available to youth workers after the end of the project. - Promoting social responsibility and active citizenship. With the knowledge and skills, they acquire, youth workers will be able to empower young people to be active "green ambassadors" in their communities by launching local initiatives, campaigns, and innovative solutions. In this way, the "Green changemakers lab: Eco-innovation in youth work" project will not only respond to the immediate needs for new knowledge and skills, but will also ensure that youth work remains relevant, innovative, and sustainably focused on the future.
