Objectives

The project DIGIpreneur reflects the ambition of committed organizations from six European countries (Bulgaria, Ukraine, Portugal, Poland and Spain) to address one of the most significant challenges of the digital age – the gap between the entrepreneurial ambitions of young people and the capacity of youth workers to support them in turning ideas into practice. In today’s fast-changing environment, youth workers often lack the practical tools to guide young people in navigating the digital economy responsibly and creatively. Through this project, the consortium aims to strengthen the role of youth work in building entrepreneurial mindsets and digital competences that are ethical, inclusive and future-oriented. Based on our daily experience in youth work, structured consultations, and European-level analysis, the partnership identified recurring needs: many young people wish to pursue digital careers (freelancing, startups), yet youth workers often lack the confidence, tools, and structured methodologies to guide them beyond basic advice. At the same time, topics such as digital safety, ethical use of artificial intelligence, and responsible online behavior remain insufficiently covered in the sphere of non-formal education. The central activity is an 8-day international training course in Bulgaria, gathering 25 youth workers. The program is structured as a practical journey through the main stages of digital entrepreneurship – from idea generation and validation (Lean Canvas), through design (UI/UX, user retention), digital safety and ethics, to marketing and pitching. Participants will work in teams and step by step develop real prototypes of digital applications. By the end of the course, each team will present a completed prototype, resulting in 8 digital prototypes in total. In addition, the project will produce a methodology for youth workers, consolidating the content and innovative practices tested during the course. This second key product ensures that the knowledge and tools developed within the project remain accessible to a wider circle of practitioners and organizations, multiplying the impact beyond the mobility. Through this project we aim to provide a structured and sustainable response, using the potential of the Erasmus+ programme to empower youth workers with knowledge, skills, and resources that are directly applicable in their daily practice. By connecting innovative methodologies with non-formal education methods, DIGIpreneur will contribute to strengthening the role of youth work in the digital transformation of society. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project has the following objectives: - Overall project objective: To contribute to fostering the entrepreneurial spirit in the EU by strengthening the capacity of youth workers to support digital youth initiatives. - Specific objectives: 1. To equip 25 youth workers with practical skills for developing digital products, achieving an average 50% improvement between their pre- and post-training test results in areas such as Lean Canvas, UI/UX, and marketing. 2. To enhance their competence to train young people in digital safety and the ethical use of technology, with 70% of participants confident to deliver training on the topic by the end of the mobility. 3. To develop their soft skills (teamwork, critical thinking, presentation) essential for real entrepreneurial processes, with a 60% increase in self-assessment scores. 4. To build a sustainable international network, with 30% of participants maintaining contact and cooperation plans three months after the course. 5. To generate tangible results – 8 prototypes and a methodology that will have impact beyond the project itself. From the perspective of youth work practice, DIGIpreneur represents an investment in professional development and in the quality of youth work. It empowers organizations and youth workers to support young people not only with theoretical knowledge, but also with practical examples, tested tools, and sustainable partnerships. In this way, the project strengthens innovation, inclusion, and adaptability in European youth work, preparing the sector for the challenges of the digital economy.
