The project aims to strengthen meaningful youth participation by engaging young people aged 13–18 from Bulgaria and Poland in a structured process connecting historical memory, democratic values and active citizenship. Inspired by the EU Youth Strategy (Engage, Connect, Empower), the project seeks to increase young people’s understanding of democratic processes at local and European level, foster dialogue with decision-makers, and support their role as active contributors to inclusive societies. Through reflection on historical experiences and human rights, participants will develop critical thinking, confidence and a sense of responsibility towards democratic life. The project also aims to create sustainable tools and practices that can support youth participation beyond its duration.
