To provide eighteen-year-old young people from the Vocational High School of Technology and Clothing “Docho Mihaylov” in the town of Tervel, with fewer opportunities, the chance to participate in the implementation of a group mobility activity under the DiscoverEU programme. To ensure an inclusive and supportive school environment aimed at breaking down stereotypes, creating conditions for social inclusion, and promoting understanding, tolerance, and non-discrimination. The project seeks to motivate students from the school to actively participate in mobility activities in order to compensate for the negative impact of their home environment, broaden their cultural awareness, and build positive emotions, confidence, and self-esteem. The main objective of the project is for five young people from VHTC “Docho Mihaylov” with fewer opportunities to learn more about Europe and discover opportunities for their future personal and professional development, as well as to strengthen their sense of belonging to the European Union. The project encourages their thirst for knowledge, the development of connections and intercultural dialogue among young people, the stimulation of curiosity, and the awareness of their European identity. Participants will be inspired to embrace sustainable travel, develop an environmentally responsible mindset, and acquire important life-related knowledge, skills, and competencies. During the group mobility, the young people will develop foreign language communication skills, communication and organisational skills, the ability to navigate in an unfamiliar environment, skills in using digital devices and electronic applications, as well as intercultural awareness. They will gain both individual and group experience through their participation in the mobility. The project also aims to motivate and support young people with fewer opportunities in overcoming the barriers that prevent them from participating directly in the general application round of the DiscoverEU programme.
