By implementing this project, we aim to empower young women through leadership development, inclusion, and personal growth, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to act as agents of change within their communities. The project will foster intercultural understanding, collaboration, and the creation of a supportive network among participants and organizations within the framework of youth work practices. Its overarching goal is to promote gender equality and strengthen the role of young women in leadership and decision making processes, particularly in contexts where they face social, economic, or cultural barriers. Objectives of the Project: 1. Develop leadership skills in young women. The project will provide participants with tools and opportunities to build essential leadership competencies such as communication, teamwork, problem solving, and strategic thinking. Through non formal learning approaches, interactive workshops, and practical exercises, participants will gain hands on experience in leading, collaborating, and organizing activities, enabling them to apply these skills effectively in youth work and community engagement contexts. 2. Promote inclusion and diversity. The project will ensure an inclusive environment in which young women from diverse backgrounds, including those with fewer opportunities, can participate on equal footing. By addressing issues related to social, cultural, and economic exclusion, the project will foster empathy, mutual respect, and intercultural understanding. Collaborative activities will emphasize diversity as a strength and reinforce its importance in leadership and youth work. 3. Empower participants to act as change makers. The project will strengthen participants’ self confidence and motivation to take initiative in addressing challenges within their local environments. They will be supported and equipped to design and implement youth led initiatives focused on inclusion, empowerment, and sustainable development, ensuring that the knowledge and skills acquired translate into tangible and meaningful impact. 4. Foster collaboration and networking. The project will strengthen cooperation among youth organizations and individuals by creating structured opportunities for collaboration during and after the exchange. By establishing lasting professional and personal connections, the project will encourage ongoing knowledge sharing and the development of joint initiatives that enhance the sustainability and reach of youth work practices. 5. Incorporate sports and non formal learning as tools for engagement. Recognizing the strong educational potential of sport in youth work, the project will use basketball, particularly the 3x3 format, as a practical tool to promote leadership, teamwork, resilience, and inclusion. Sports based and experiential learning activities will demonstrate how creative and participatory methods can effectively engage young people in both personal and professional development. 6. Promote sustainable practices and awareness. The project will integrate environmentally conscious practices throughout its activities, raising participants’ awareness of sustainability in everyday life and youth work. By encouraging eco responsible behaviors and responsible leadership, the project will align with broader sustainability goals and future oriented thinking. By achieving these objectives, the project will contribute to the personal and professional development of participants while advancing the wider aims of youth work. It will empower young women to lead with confidence, foster inclusive and sustainable communities, and drive meaningful change, ensuring an impact that extends well beyond the project’s duration.
