In recent years, more and more areas of everyday life have shifted to the digital world. Learning materials that were previously physical are now being digitalized, and most learning materials are now produced in digital form only. The world is living in a digital reality, and as this reality changes and develops, the methods of education must also change and develop. Online and digital methods of education provide a great opportunity for improving the learning process. They can make learning more engaging, active, interactive, and fun for young people, and better reflect the communication environments and styles they are familiar with. The number of participants in online education is constantly growing each year, but many youth workers are still insufficiently prepared for online and digitally supported learning. There has been a clear need identified to provide targeted training for youth workers in educational institutions in the area of digital competences. Many professionals have limited experience with digital technologies or lack confidence in using online platforms and tools in their educational practice, as they are used to traditional methods developed over many years. The aim of the project is to provide youth workers aged 25 and over with the skills and confidence to use online platforms and digital tools in their educational work. By using digital technologies and non-formal learning approaches in their educational work, participants will be able to design more interactive and youth-focused learning processes. In the long term, the aim of the project is to have a positive and sustainable impact on educational institutions and youth organizations. The participating organizations will benefit from having youth workers who are digitally competent, up-to-date with the latest online tools and applications, aware of the opportunities and risks associated with digital technologies, and able to combine formal and non-formal education approaches. This will result in higher quality educational practices, motivation of youth workers, and improved learning outcomes for young people.
