The objective is to enhance the pedagogical and methodological competences of Deaf CSL tutors with a nationwide impact. We aim for our tutors to apply modern linguistic and didactic knowledge in teaching parents and professionals in the CR. A specific goal is to strengthen inclusive education and establish international cooperation with the European Network of Sign Language Teachers (ENSLT), ensuring long-term sustainability of educational quality and better preparedness for students.
Our main motivation is the nationwide professionalization of Czech Sign Language (CSL) teaching. Deaf tutors educating parents of hearing-impaired children and educators across the Czech Republic have very limited opportunities for further methodological development. By participating, we want to overcome our tutors' isolation, gain access to modern European trends in sign language didactics, and improve the quality of adult education in the CR by transferring international best practices.
