The main aim of the Creative Movement Hub project is to support the personal development, physical and emotional resilience and self-confidence of young people aged 14–18, especially those with fewer opportunities, through experiential, movement-based and inclusive youth work practices. The project is rooted in the everyday youth work experience of the 3 European partner organizations and directly inspired by the voices and needs of teenagers involved in local youth groups, particularly the TeenAge Club Rudka from the coordinating organization Na Slunci, Czech Republic. Across all partner contexts, youth workers observe similar challenges among young people: digital overexposure, limited access to non-formal education, social pressure, body image issues, low self-esteem, anxiety. While partner organizations provide safe and supportive spaces through regular youth work activities, many young people still lack broader opportunities beyond these settings to explore emotions, identity and self-expression in a non-judgemental way. By implementing Creative Movement Hub, we aim to create a supportive international learning environment where young people can reconnect with their bodies, emotions and peers, step out of everyday pressures and experience learning through doing. The project uses outdoor experiential learning, creative movement and reflective practices as core youth work tools to help participants build resilience, emotional regulation skills, cooperation abilities and intercultural competences. A key objective from a youth work perspective is to empower young people as active co-creators of the exchange. Participants are involved not only as learners, but also in shaping activities, reflections, and follow-up ideas. This approach strengthens ownership, motivation and deeper learning and reflects our belief that meaningful youth work is participatory and youth-led. Another important objective is to support inclusion and equal participation, particularly for young people from rural areas and those facing social, economic, psychological, geographical or educational barriers. Through non-competitive, body-based activities and peer support, the project encourages authentic self-expression, acceptance of personal limits and gradual confidence-building in a safe environment. From a youth work practice perspective, the project also aims to: - Create safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental spaces where young people can explore identity, emotions, relationships and self-expression, including verbal expression in a foreign language, without fear of judgment or failure. - Support holistic development through movement, creativity, reflection and connection to nature, using the body and shared experience as natural tools to support communication, trust and openness. - Strengthen social, communication and teamwork skills through cooperative physical activities and group challenges, where participants naturally practice spoken English in real-life situations, focusing on understanding each other rather than on correctness or performance. - Foster intercultural understanding, empathy and a sense of belonging beyond national and cultural borders by encouraging informal, peer-to-peer communication in English as a shared language, helping participants gain confidence to speak, ask questions and express themselves through curiosity about others and collaboration. - Encourage youth leadership and peer learning by involving older teenagers in junior youth worker roles, supporting them to facilitate activities, communicate with international peers and act as role models for younger participants in inclusive and respectful communication. - Motivate long-term engagement in community life, local youth groups, and future Erasmus+ activities. In addition, the project contributes to strengthening long-term cooperation between youth organizations from the Czech Republic, Poland and Lithuania. It supports the exchange of youth work practices and builds a shared foundation for future initiatives focused on inclusion, green practices, youth participation, well-being and creative empowerment.
