Objectives

The main goal of the project is to support young people in building awareness about mental health, understanding emotions and learning healthy coping strategies by using non-formal education methods. The project reacts to growing stress, anxiety, emotional pressure and stigma connected to mental health that many young people experience across Europe. From the youth work point of view, the project wants to create a safe and inclusive learning space where young people can talk about emotional well-being in an open way, without fear of being judged, labelled or pushed to share personal stories. The objectives are to help young people understand mental health as something that can change over time, to see emotional difficulties as a normal part of life, and to better recognize when they or people around them may need support. Another important objective is to empower young people to look for help in a responsible and healthy way and to develop basic peer support skills while still respecting personal boundaries. The project also aims to strengthen intercultural dialogue and solidarity by giving participants from different countries the opportunity to share their views and experiences related to mental health, coping strategies and support systems in their own cultural context.
