The project aims to strengthen youth workers’ capacity to address sustainable agriculture as an integral part of environmental youth work. Its main objective is to deepen participants’ understanding of the links between intensive agriculture, biodiversity loss, climate change, and food systems, while addressing the fact that these topics are often underrepresented in environmental education practice. From a youth work perspective, the project seeks to equip participants with concrete, non-formal educational activities and communication tools that can be directly integrated into their regular programmes and curricula. Youth workers will not only gain knowledge, but also practical experience in facilitating activities, communicating complex topics in an accessible way, and engaging young people through experiential and participatory methods. At the same time, the project aims to strengthen youth workers’ confidence to talk about agriculture and sustainability, to test and adapt educational activities in real settings, and to act as multipliers within their organisations and communities. By fostering international exchange of perspectives and good practices, the project contributes to the quality, innovation, and long-term relevance of youth work, while supporting a more informed and systemic approach to environmental challenges.
