Objectives

What we want to achieve and why: EduFacilitation is an 8-day experiential training in Czechia for 25 youth workers from 8 countries. It gives a clear, hands-on pathway to plan, facilitate, evaluate and transfer non-formal learning back to daily youth work. The course follows a simple cycle: prepare, learn, practise, evaluate, share, so participants co-design short activities, test them in micro-teaching, gather structured feedback and plan first steps for local use. Learning is recognised with Youthpass, and we prepare reusable workshop templates that partners can apply and, where suitable, share openly on the SALTO Toolbox. We actively include youth workers with fewer opportunities and offer tailored support so that barriers linked to finance, geography, language, health or discrimination do not block participation. We encourage green travel choices such as public transport and shared transfers and give practical guidance to make these options feasible. We use a simple digital approach throughout preparation, delivery and follow-up to reduce paper, keep collaboration easy and help participants adopt one useful digital habit at home. Who is involved: Partners come from Czechia, Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Spain, Romania, Belgium and Portugal. This mix reflects our working network and ensures diversity of contexts for transfer into schools, NGOs and youth centres. See Annex: Structure, Team, Partners & Experience for partner bios and links. Objectives and how we will check progress: Strengthen facilitation competence and confidence so participants can design and run meaningful experiential workshops in a safe environment. Indicator: baseline to endline self-assessment, inspired by the European Training Strategy competence model, plus short reflections show progress for ≥75% of participants. Improve key competences needed in non-formal education: facilitation, communication, learning design, inclusive practice, creativity, wellbeing, and practical green and digital choices. Indicator: ≥75% improve in ≥3 areas at endline. Increase awareness of Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps and other EU opportunities. Indicator: at endline, ≥75% feel more informed about EU programmes and pathways. Create and test reusable methods that respond to partner needs. Indicator: an EduFacilitation Workshop Templates pack with step-by-step outlines (aim, steps, timing, materials, notes) is finalised and shared with partners and, where suitable, the SALTO Toolbox. Ensure transfer to practice. Indicator: ≥1 follow-up activity per partner organisation within 3–6 months, with simple evidence such as a photo, agenda or link. Enhance visibility and dissemination. Indicators: each national team co-publishes one summary post with its organisation; >60% of participants post a short personal summary linked to their local implementation. Methods and expected change in practice: We combine non-formal education with a facilitative approach, experiential learning, challenge-based and game-based elements, non-violent communication and simple digital tools for collaboration and feedback. The course embeds proportionate evaluation and Youthpass. Results for organisations include clearer session design (aims, steps, timing, safety and inclusion), more reliable delivery through peer feedback and trainer observation, simple monitoring routines, and open sharing of tools where useful. Fit with partner needs: Across partners we see the same core need: stronger facilitation and learning-design that transfer to everyday youth work. The project responds directly by guiding participants through an outcomes-based cycle, producing reusable templates and supporting follow-up in each country. Details are summarised in Annex: Needs Analysis and Annex: Structure, Team, Partners & Experience. How we will ensure quality and inclusion: The design and follow-up align with the Erasmus+ Youth Quality Standards, including reflection, recognition and dissemination. We model realistic green choices and integrate simple digital practices throughout preparation, delivery and follow-up, so participants can replicate them in their organisations. Inclusion measures for participants with fewer opportunities are planned from the start. Green travel is promoted within budget rules. The digital approach keeps materials accessible and reduces waste. Main outputs: An EduFacilitation Workshop Templates; a short set of visibility posts linking to project, concrete outputs and local implementation; Youthpass certificates; and a small European peer network that continues for at least three months with monthly check-ins and shared examples. European added value: International exchange, open tools and shared routines help raise local quality, support inclusion and make learning visible across borders. By turning priorities into everyday practice, the project leaves concrete tools and competence gains that organisations can reuse long after the mobility ends.
