Objectives

Our project “Activism in Photography” aims to inspire and empower young people to become more involved in social, economic, political and environmental issues. We'll be using photography as a powerful tool to help them make their voices heard. Participants will have the space and platform to showcase their work, bringing their perspectives and concerns to a wider audience. Through the project activities, participants will also develop valuable skills like digital skills, critical thinking and intercultural competence, helping them become more active and engaged citizens. A key aim of the project is to equip participants with the fundamentals of photography as a tool for activism, focusing on storytelling techniques to create impactful narratives. It will also create an engaging environment where participants can share knowledge and learn about documenting global issues. On top of that, we focus to motivate participants to become more involved in addressing wider societal challenges. The project will culminate in a dual-format exhibition, both physical and online, showcasing the participants' work, entirely curated by them. As dissemination is the responsibility of the participants, its outcomes will be multiplied across their communities.
