Objectives

Our project seeks to address youth-defined needs around mental health, digital dependency, and the disconnection from nature, as identified through focus groups, partner consultations, and surveys in all participating countries. Young people expressed the need for practical stress-management tools, inclusive spaces for intercultural exchange, and opportunities to connect with nature as a source of resilience and creativity. From a youth work practice standpoint, the project objectives are framed as SMART objectives that directly contribute to Erasmus+ Youth Exchange aims, European Youth Goals (notably #5 mental health and well-being, #10 sustainable green Europe, and #9 space and participation for all), and national youth strategies promoting inclusion, participation, and sustainability. Objectives: O1: Enhance well-being through nature-based youth work methods: - Specific: Develop resilience and stress-management competences in young people (18–25), with a focus on eco-art, mindfulness, and storytelling. - Measurable: At least 80% of participants report improved ability to manage stress (measured through pre-/post- exchange self-assessment surveys). - Achievable: Delivered through 7-day youth exchange with structured non-formal workshops outdoors in Germany. - Relevant: Responds to evidence of rising youth anxiety/depression and aligns with Youth Goal #5. - Time-bound: To be achieved by the end of the youth exchange in August 2026. Competences developed: - Attitudes: Openness to nature-based well-being practices, increased self-awareness. - Skills: Stress regulation, mindfulness techniques, creative expression. - Knowledge: Understanding the link between nature, sustainability, and mental health. - Indicators: Pre/post questionnaires; daily reflection journals; facilitator observation checklists. O2: Strengthen youth participation and leadership capacity: - Specific: Equip participants with leadership and facilitation skills to run local “green clubs” and follow-up workshops upon return. - Measurable: At least 10 local activities (workshops, eco-art exhibitions, mindfulness circles) implemented by participants within 3 months after mobility. - Achievable: Support and mentoring provided by partner organisations. - Relevant: Supports Erasmus+ aim of fostering active participation and Youth Goal #9 (space and participation for all). - Time-bound: To be completed within 3 months post-exchange (by November 2026). Competences: - Attitudes: Sense of initiative, responsibility. - Skills: Leadership, event facilitation, teamwork, communication. - Knowledge: Non-formal learning methods, peer education techniques. - Indicators: Number and quality of follow-up events; reports/photos/videos produced; testimonies from local stakeholders. O3: Promote social inclusion and intercultural understanding through shared youth work practices - Specific: Foster intercultural dialogue and solidarity, especially involving 15 participants with fewer opportunities (rural, NEET, migrant backgrounds). - Measurable: At least 70% of participants with fewer opportunities report increased confidence and feeling of belonging (pre-/post-evaluation). - Achievable: Inclusion support and adapted non-formal education methods provided throughout the exchange. - Relevant: Directly addresses Erasmus+ priority on inclusion and Youth Goal #3 (inclusive societies). - Time-bound: Outcomes measured during and immediately after the mobility (August-September 2026). Competences: - Attitudes: Tolerance, empathy, intercultural curiosity. - Skills: Communication across cultures, collaborative problem-solving. - Knowledge: Awareness of cultural diversity and inclusive practices in youth work. - Indicators: Youthpass self-assessments; intercultural evening reflections; qualitative interviews with participants. O4: Integrate sustainable, nature-based approaches into youth work practice: - Specific: Enable participating organisations to embed eco-therapy, mindfulness, and creative outdoor methods into regular youth work. - Measurable: Each partner integrates at least 2 new practices/tools into ongoing activities within 6 months. - Achievable: Based on shared booklet developed during exchange (eco-art, nature storytelling, mindfulness session plans). - Relevant: Aligns with Erasmus+ priority on sustainability and Youth Goal #10 (sustainable green Europe). - Time-bound: By June 2027 (end of project). Competences (organisational): - Staff gain knowledge of new tools, cross-sectoral practices. - Networks strengthened through transnational partnership. - Indicators: Booklet dissemination; organisational reports; feedback from youth workers applying new tools.
