Since several years, we have been working continuously together with our partners to strengthen our cooperation, which is most visible during the summer exchange. Through this long-term collaboration and several visits to our partner organizations, we have the possibility to actively involve young people in the planning and implementation of the programme, supporting their active participation in society. The youth exchange in summer is the main highlight of our international work and young people are highly motivated to actively contribute to shaping this event. The main aim of the project is to encourage active participation of young people and to stimulate their interest in European topics and long-term international cooperation, while strengthening intercultural communication skills through international teamwork and shared learning experiences. Through this exchange, participants can gain new experiences together, broaden their knowledge on important topics and develop their own opinions. For us and our partners, this project has high value because it enables us to include young people with fewer opportunities, as the chosen methodology is accessible and participatory, promoting inclusion and diversity awareness within the group. Based on our positive experiences in recent years, we want to continue this cooperation. Furthermore, our network can be strengthened and young people can be involved on a long-term basis, empowering young people with fewer opportunities to become more confident and engaged in international activities. During the project, participants will be supported by group leaders and by taking on responsibilities they will develop their competences and initiate their own activities. The selection of this year’s topic was influenced by different factors. The young people themselves selected a topic that can be explored through various activities and understood by all participants. For this purpose, we have chosen different methods and workshops that will support the learning process, led by group leaders and the young people themselves, with a focus on cooperation, inclusion, and intercultural dialogue.
