Objectives

What we aim to achieve by implementing this KA152 youth exchange is to create real areas of contact by establishing a safe and structured environment in a reality where young people from different backgrounds live “side by side but separate.” In the context of Germany/Mönchengladbach, the weakness of intercultural contact, the fact that prejudices overshadow daily relationships, and the fact that disadvantaged young people often remain in a “spectator” position in social life are direct needs for youth work. The project responds to this need not only with “information” but also through collaborative production, shared rhythm, team experience, and public visibility. Music-based non-formal learning enables young people to express themselves in emotional safety, listen to each other, and experience working together without conflict with differences. Therefore, our goal is to create a youth work intervention that strengthens intercultural dialogue among young people, reduces prejudice, and transforms participation into concrete roles. The General Aim of Our Project: To strengthen intercultural dialogue, reduce prejudice, and improve young people's social integration, expression, and collaborative production skills by bringing together young people from different countries through music-based non-formal learning methods. Specific Objectives of Our Project At the end of the project, young people will: 1.Become familiar with the music norms/habits of partner countries and their cultural reflections (country presentations, SWOT, bilateral pairings, station studies). 2.Break down prejudices, develop empathy and mutual understanding through music and collaborative production; increase respect for differences (success stories, discussions, “music portrait” studies). 3.Strengthen communication, teamwork, leadership and public expression skills (workshops, drama studies, stage/performance, poster design). 4.Increase self-confidence and motivation for social participation by strengthening the participation of socially and economically disadvantaged young people with structured roles and support mechanisms (safe environment, role sharing, supportive evaluation). 5.Impact the local community with tangible outputs and initiate sustainability: produce a music small-festival, digital content (video/PSA), dissemination plan and future cooperation steps. In short, the project aims to ensure that young people not only “participate” but also; It is designed as a youth work process where participants produce, are visible, take responsibility, and amplify the project's impact even after returning to their home countries.
