The project "Breaking Borders through Storytelling" aims to empower 50 young people, particularly those from migrant backgrounds and facing fewer opportunities, to reclaim their narratives through digital advocacy. Our primary objective is to bridge the digital skills gap by equipping participants with professional Mobile Journalism (MoJo) and storytelling techniques to share their personal "dreams" across borders. From a youth work perspective, we aim to transition participants from passive media consumers into active "digital prosumers" capable of using social media for civic engagement and social change. By co-creating a "Digital Map of Inclusion" in Cagliari, we seek to validate non-formal learning through the Youthpass process, strengthen a shared sense of European identity, and dismantle stereotypes regarding migration. Ultimately, this project professionalizes grassroots youth work by integrating innovative digital tools that promote democratic participation and foster more inclusive local communities.
