In an age where digital content shapes opinions, influences behavior, and impacts democratic participation, youth workers play a crucial role in guiding young people toward safe, responsible, and conscious engagement online. The DRIVE project is designed to strengthen this role by empowering youth workers with advanced competences in digital responsibility, critical media awareness, and ethical participation in the digital sphere. As young people increasingly navigate a landscape filled with persuasive algorithms, targeted content, and evolving digital risks, youth workers must be equipped not only to understand these dynamics but also to teach young people how to question, analyze, and interpret the information they encounter. DRIVE places a strong emphasis on developing the capacity of youth workers to support young people in identifying misinformation, decoding visual and narrative manipulation, and understanding the intentions behind online messages. By learning how to unpack digital content through a critical lens, youth workers will be better prepared to cultivate media-literate young citizens who can think independently and make informed decisions. At the same time, the project recognizes the importance of digital responsibility focusing on how young people can participate online ethically, protect their privacy, and build positive digital identities that reflect respect, inclusion, and active citizenship. The training course integrates practical tools, hands-on digital exercises, peer discussions, and real case studies from contemporary media environments. Through non-formal learning approaches, participants will explore how to combine digital tools with creative educational methods, helping them deliver engaging, youth-friendly activities that build awareness while fostering curiosity and critical thinking. By involving partners from different European countries, DRIVE also fosters intercultural dialogue and encourages the cross-border exchange of educational strategies, ensuring that youth workers gain new perspectives and approaches that enrich their practice. THE TC DRIVE seeks to build a community of digitally responsible youth workers who can support young people in becoming conscious digital citizens confident in their capacity to question information, engage ethically, and contribute positively to digital spaces. By strengthening digital competences, promoting collaboration, and encouraging lifelong learning, the project contributes to more resilient communities capable of navigating the challenges of the digital age. TC Objectives: -Enhance youth workers’ competence in critical media analysis, enabling them to understand digital influence mechanisms, decode misinformation strategies, and guide young people in developing independent, critical thought. -Equip the youth workers with practical methodologies for fostering responsible digital engagement, including ethical decision-making, online safety practices, and the development of positive digital identities. -Strengthen the use of creative digital tools within non-formal education, supporting youth workers in designing interactive learning experiences that promote active participation and critical reflection. -Promote an understanding of digital citizenship, focusing on respect, inclusion, privacy awareness, and meaningful online participation in democratic and community life. - Build an EU network of youth workers from 7 EU countries committed to digital responsibility, encouraging collaboration, shared learning, and the co-creation of innovative educational resources in the field of media literacy.
