Objectives

The project aims to strengthen youth workers’ capacity to guide young people through the rapid expansion of AI-based tools in everyday learning and communication. From a youth work practice perspective, it focuses on making AI use in non-formal education more effective, ethical, inclusive, and environmentally responsible, so youth workers can model and transfer these competences directly into their daily work with diverse groups of young people. Objectives : Improve youth workers’ AI literacy to enable critical, safe, and responsible use of AI in youth work settings (limitations, bias, ethics, reliability). Develop youth workers’ prompt-writing competence as a practical skill for planning sessions, producing quality learning materials, and supporting young people to use AI intentionally rather than through trial-and-error. Promote sustainable digital habits in youth work by linking AI use to energy, water, and e-waste impacts and encouraging more resource-conscious digital practices (e.g., fewer unnecessary generations, purposeful outputs). Strengthen youth workers’ ability to apply inclusive and learner-centred methods when using digital tools, ensuring accessibility and meaningful participation of young people with fewer opportunities. Support quality and recognition of learning outcomes in youth work practice through structured reflection, peer-learning, and competence-based evaluation aligned with Youthpass and the ETS competence approach.
