Youth workers play a vital role in supporting young people’s personal, social and emotional development. They help young people discover their strengths, engage in their communities and overcome social or personal challenges. However, youth workers often face high workloads, complex social situations, emotional stress and limited access to support or professional development opportunities, which can affect the quality of support they provide. This project aims to address these challenges by strengthening the professional competences, resilience and wellbeing of youth workers, directly contributing to the objectives of the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027. The objectives of the project can be described in three main areas: -Professional development: The project will equip youth workers with practical tools, non-formal and experiential learning methods and strategies to manage stress, maintain wellbeing and improve emotional resilience. Participants will gain knowledge, skills and confidence to continue delivering high-quality youth work, while also learning how to integrate innovative methods into their everyday practice. -Organisational impact: Participating organisations will benefit from the introduction of wellbeing-focused practices that foster supportive and inclusive work environments. This includes creating structures and policies that value youth worker health and wellbeing, ensuring that staff feel motivated, respected and able to work sustainably. By embedding these practices, organisations can enhance the quality of youth work they provide and develop a culture that promotes continuous learning and collaboration. -European cooperation: By bringing together youth workers from multiple European countries, the project will build strong transnational networks for exchanging knowledge, sharing best practices and developing collaborative approaches to common challenges. This European dimension encourages intercultural learning, strengthens connections across youth work organisations and helps participants develop a broader understanding of youth work practices beyond their local context. This project ensures that participants return to their daily work with enhanced skills, improved coping strategies and renewed motivation. Ultimately, it contributes directly to the quality, sustainability and innovation of youth work in each participant’s local context, while creating long-lasting connections and a supportive European network of youth workers.
